Our Philosophy

Distinguished Learning Group, LLC views education as a catalyst to freedom. We ascribe to the definition of freedom set forth by John Dewey. Freedom is about power: power to frame purposes, to judge wisely, to evaluate desires by consequences which will result from acting upon them; power to select and order means to carry chosen ends into operation. Essentially, our purpose is to help students be responsible with their choices and understand the total impact of those choices on oneself, others and the community at large.

With this in mind, freedom is directly connected with purpose and destiny. As students are “free” to explore and develop learning plans or experiences that are meaningful to them. This vigorous process lifts their quality of thinking and enables our clients to realize their potential within, uninterrupted by adult intervention but rather supported by adult supervision. As students engage in this process and obtain their intellectual and personal freedom, students will begin to understand that when they become free, freedom actually becomes apart of the community domain and serves as an ambassador of change, hope, unity and love for all.

For it is at this level that communities and the nation at large can begin to see a shift in our thinking, being and moral standards. Then and only then can love begin to change the kaleidoscope of mankind. In order for us to help our clients develop their personal freedom we are guided by three pillars

1. The principles of freedom must exist within our philosophical foundation, company programs and all staff members must share the core beliefs of our educational infrastructure.

2. Everyone has the right to freedom and humanization.

3. Every program must empower our clients to walk in confidence, greatness and wisdom and lead them towards their purpose.
